Going Medieval will try to push through the formula from which Minecraft and Fortnite grew, only with a medieval plot. How does the idea of a game in which you have to build your city and then defend it from opponents sound to you? Sounds like something you've played a hundred times in Stronghold, Minecraft, or in the forgotten Save the World mode of Fortnite? You’re right, but a game called Going Medieval isn’t ashamed of that already used idea. Indeed, Going Medieval in its formula combines the construction of a medieval city, caring for the population, surviving natural disasters, hunting animals and resources, and much more. It takes place in some alternative history where 95% of Europe has died of the plague, and there don’t seem to be any fantastic elements even though the music in the trailer borders on plagiarism of tunes for Game of Thrones. Despite that, the game looks interesting, especially since this is the debut title of the Foxy Voxel team. It was announced for PC and should soon be available in the early access program on Steam.
